Creating Outdoor Spaces for Connection and Growth

The CAYS Foundation would like to sincerely thank the Cayman Islands Prison Service for their generous support in donating materials and constructing a new gazebo at the Frances Bodden Children’s Home.

The gazebo provides a welcoming outdoor space where young people can relax, socialise, and spend positive time together in a safe and supportive environment. Spaces like these play an important role in residential care, helping young people build relationships, regulate emotions, and experience a sense of comfort and belonging.

Outdoor communal areas also create opportunities for conversation, reflection, recreation, and structured activities, all of which contribute to wellbeing and healthy development.

    General Manager Keith said:

“We are extremely grateful to the Cayman Islands Prison Service for their generosity and support. The gazebo has created a valuable new space for our young people to connect, unwind, and spend positive time together outdoors. Partnerships like this make a meaningful difference to the environments we are able to provide.”

The CAYS Foundation greatly appreciates the continued support of community partners who help us create safe, nurturing, and enriching spaces for young people in our care.
